Catalogue Privacy Policy

Catalogue is designed to see as little as possible. Your library stays on your Mac. The only data we receive is feedback messages or error reports - and only when you choose to send one. Catalogue never transmits anything on its own.

What we receive

Two actions send data, and only when you tap the button:

Feedback: your app version, macOS version, language alongside any feedback message you decide to write

Error report: includes the following technical details to help us fix a problem:

• app version, macOS version, Mac model, memory, language and time zone
• how many documents, collections and devices you have (counts only, never their full names or contents)
• the error message show to you, with your home-folder path removed so your username isn't included

What we never collect

Your name, email, location, contacts, advertising or device identifiers, or your library's contents. We don't store your IP address, only a scrambled value that can't identify you, used solely to prevent spam and abuse.

How we use it

To understand and fix bugs and improve Catalogue. We don't sell, rent, or share your feedback, and we never use it for advertising.

Where it goes, and how long we keep it

Reports are sent securely over HTTPS to our feedback service, which runs on Cloudflare (our hosting provider, acting on our behalf). We keep reports for around 180 days, then delete them.

Children

Catalogue isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect data from them.
